"Realm of Flowers" (2006) is a colored pencil drawing by Marie Brožová, created live in public in Prague as part of her long-term project The Defense of Colored Pencils. The original artwork is an A0 format, measuring 118.9 × 84.1 cm (46.8 × 33.1 inches).
The Story Behind the Art
Floating above a sun-kissed planet carpeted in eternal blossoms, whimsical hot air balloons shaped like inverted tulips drift silently through the ether. Nestled within the petals below, tiny flower fairies make their secret homes. From the steps of a majestic floral palace, a curious black cat wanders down, pausing to whisper secrets into the blooming buds.
