"Memory of Autumn" (2003) is a colored pencil drawing by Prague artist Marie Brožová. Created in her atelier, the original artwork is an A3-format piece, measuring 42 x 29.7 cm (16.5 x 11.7 inches).

The Story Behind the Art

The golden colors of autumn have long been buried under winter snow. The only remaining memory of the season is a butterfly made of fallen leaves. The artist herself is returning home, to the place where she truly belongs. The drawing depicts the first dynasty of Marie Brožová’s cats, who would always welcome her at this very spot, located just a few steps from her home.
