"A Night of Dreams Come True" (2018) is a colored pencil drawing by Marie Brožová, created live in public at her Magic Pencil Gallery in the heart of Prague as part of her long-term project The Defense of Colored Pencils. The original artwork is an impressive A0 format, measuring 118.9 × 84.1 cm (46.8 × 33.1 inches).
The Story Behind the Art
Inspired by a vivid dream, this drawing depicts the Milky Way as a path for a celestial herd of deer. In this vision, a golden rose comet brings seeds of longing to the ground. The windows looking out into space reveal the cherished places of the artist's memories.
Hidden Details to Discover
Inside the open book, you can see the inscription Nothing ever ends written in the artist's native Czech, as well as in English, Russian and a free Chinese translation.
