"Rain Fairy" (2018) is a colored pencil drawing by Marie Brožová, created live in public at her famous Magic Pencil Gallery in the heart of Prague as part of her long-term project The Defense of Colored Pencils. The original artwork is an A0 format, measuring 118.9 × 84.1 cm (46.8 × 33.1 inches).
The Story Behind the Art
Crowned with glinting raindrops and silver-dewed wings, the Rain Fairy descends upon earth with her sacred blessing. Beneath her touch, the moss, pine, and beech awaken in vibrant green. In hidden corners, tiny snails, frogs, and woodland sprites catch the falling drops in tiny cups, dancing to the timeless truth: Water is Life.
