Moon Magic (magnet)

"Moon Magic" (2017) is a colored pencil drawing by Marie Brožová, created live in public at her famous Galerie Pastelka in the heart of Prague as part of her long-term project The Defense of Colored Pencils. The original artwork is an impressive A0 format, measuring 118.9 x 84.1 cm (46.8 x 33.1 inches). 

The Story Behind the Art

This piece serves as a powerful symbol of feminine energy and regeneration. Beneath a full moon whose magic grants our most heartfelt wishes, a beautiful sorceress in a red dress sits under an apple tree laden with ripe fruit. Her roots reach deep into the Earth. Whenever her strength fades, she draws fresh vitality from these roots – from the love that connects her to the ground, to her home, to the wisdom of her ancestors, and to the present moment.
