"On the Road" (2003) is a colored pencil drawing by Prague artist Marie Brožová. Created in her atelier, the original artwork is an A3 format piece, measuring 42 × 29.7 cm (16.5 × 11.7 inches).
The Story Behind the Art
A young wanderer dressed all in white walks the lonely road through the blue-tinted twilight. It is an autumn evening; ancient cherry trees by the wayside shed their final leaves. The setting sun mirrors the very same reddish-gold hue as the girl’s hair.
