"November Fairy" (2010) is a colored pencil drawing by Marie Brožová, created live in public at her famous Magic Pencil Gallery in the heart of Prague as part of her long-term project The Defense of Colored Pencils. The original artwork is an A0 format, measuring 118.9 × 84.1 cm (46.8 × 33.1 inches). This piece is featured in the Fairies for Each Month of the Year series.
The Story Behind the Art
The November Fairy emerges from the mist of All Hallows' tide. Blessed with owl-like vision that pierces the veil of reality, she plays a fading autumn melody upon her flute, whispering to open the gates to forgotten realms. She arrives bearing a quiet gift: the thrill of the unknown, a gentle shiver down the spine, and the raw, breathless vertigo of truly being alive.
